knock era memories

i cannot believe i didn't immediately love knock (astro) when it came out. it's literally my type of song, too. it hits all my representative bases. (elaboration, simplified: nostalgic and evocative edm. a touch of yearning. an optional splash of outer space vibes for bonus points.) like, i remember thinking it was alright, it was nice, but it just wasn't the cunty serve continuation i was anticipating after blue flame. but now, it legitimately sounds so, so comforting. and i'm trying to get to the bottom of why.
