my signed complete album came

i have been sitting on the floor with my newly arrived complete album in front of me for two hours… no, i should really put it away and come back later. whew…

all of its signed and slightly damaged glory! i couldn’t stop smiling.

there were some indents and scratches on the side of the case... i spent half an hour fretting over how to tell the seller and whether my review was polite enough. oomfs said it was; i hope it was, because that seller was pretty kind, so i don't want to hurt their feelings or anything. i was nervous as shit, repeatedly checking the original listing of the item to make sure they didn't already disclose the flaws in the description and i just accidentally missed it. (they didn't, and there wasn't a picture of this side of the album either.) the feedback i ended up sending in, since mercari forced me to: "there was some damage on the case, and i'm not sure if it was there originally? if it was, then i don't think it should've been labeled as "new"! if it wasn't, then it was likely from the lack of a protective wrap inside the the package. it's okay overall; i myself am not one to worry much about indents and scratches, but i just wanted to make note of that in case other people do ^-^ anyway, thank you for the album!"

the amount of stuff in this album surprised me. i forgot to do some physical content research before buying, so when i opened it to nine booklets and an accordion book holding the cd? i was a little taken aback. unfortunately, mine didn't come with a pc, but i can't fathom searching for the photocard amidst that.

okay, i mean, i imagine it would probably be in the main photobook. but still, it would be hilarious if it was at a different place in every copy, and they made you sift through all of those to find it.

i was trying to reorder the individual member/lyrics booklets into the correct sequence of the songs—since the original owner did not—and only halfway through browsing sungjae's did i realize the little flaps inside opened up! that's where the thank you letters were <3

eunkwang's picture flaps had tears forming... how do i explain this is 광냥 at its epitome. this is the very peak of eunkwang's catlike-ness.

and ilhoon and sungjae's phenomenal styling for this photoshoot… what other option did i have besides zoning out on the ground until my brain started hurting. for, uh, two whole hours apparently.

i knew they were placing extra emphasis on sungjae, since they had to capitalize off his rising relevancy from school (2015)—and exposing his toes in the teaser photos apparently contributed to it—but ilhoon's looks in this too… oh man. he’s hot. oh no. what do i do.

i love when they go the absolute fuck out with ilhoon's eyeliner and eyeshadow. they've been doing this since the dawn of time with him; those makeup artists knew what's up.

the dark liner was obviously a common appearance for that generation of k-pop, but i really think ilhoon is one of the best idols i can think of to pull off those smokey eyes. out of the beats he's certainly the most suiting, with perhaps changsub or eunkwang coming in second.
