[this was meant to a brief twitter rant here, but then it started getting long and whiny, so i figured i would just finish the rest here. i'm too drained to go through and capitalize now, so just take it like this.]

i'm not sure why everyone was so against lovelyz experimenting during their run on queendom. i understand that there may have been a factor rooted in nostalgia and the ancipation to see their classic image back in action, but even then, it shouldn't have warranted the mass amount of hate.

and another thing: i personally believe all of those girls do, in fact, have the energy to nail a sexy concept! i thought this even before obliviate was released—when they have hot visuals like mijoo and jisoo, why was this idea being held back so rigidly? </3 not all groups who were tailored to have a cute concept since debut hold this energy i see in them—for example, i can't ever imagine oh my girl (particularly: hyojung and binnie) on a sexy concept, which is not a bad thing either. lovelyz had the potential to make the most out of their creations and work on queendom. i hold my ground that they were unfairly crushed.

i could've definitely seen lovelyz taking something akin to the apink route: an accepted and admired transition from their staple cute concept to something more mature. but they weren't allowed that chance, and now it's too late…

i went into queendom late, albeit even-handed, and i was appalled to see the amount of dislikes on lovelyz's performances, to say the least. like, okay, that first ah-choo performance may have been awkward, but i suspected that there would be enough lovelinus fighting back against the haters that it wouldn't have become a major hate issue. however, for the rest of the show, it seemed like the whole nation of korea hopped onto the bashing train, and it simply surprised me more than anything else! especially for performances that did not have anything visibly bad or unprofessional about them, i was not expecting there to be that many people who cared so deeply about them deviating from their original style.

and that sixth sense cover? it was nothing close to being as awful as people were trying to make it out to be. it no doubt doesn't live up to the original, but, be honest, when do covers ever? i can't imagine why or how the public decided to perceive it this way, or why they chose to unleash their hate right then; typically when a group tries different things, aren't they praised for being creative and brave? i may be several years late, but the entire situation pisses me off the more i think about it. for clarification, i finished watching the show about a month ago, but this had been on my mind since. it's preposterous.

anyway… i know there's nothing we can do now. the past happened, and the most we can do is let it go. i probably won't cease to miss these girls together for some time, i fathom; that final announcement cut a wound that will take more than a while to heal. looking forward to brighter turns in the eight of their individual futures and praying for an eventual reunion is all i can turn to. jisoo in goedam 2 and baby's solo album soon! i hope none of them ever give up in their aspirations for the time that lies ahead.
